Continuing Bernelli’s Quest At Prison de Joaquin

I pushed the instance fight part till I reached level 84, which I did and ended off today’s training with a spectacular 2 level increase! Talk about grinding! Anyway, if you’re currently at this quest, I’ll do a little write-up from the beginning of this quest that Grace Bernelli gave.

After completing the initial quests that include running about Tetra Catacombs (and getting her character card as well), the second part begins right after you’ve stopped. Even though the recommended level to do this quest is from level 72 onwards… You begin the quest by her request to you to investigate Prison de Joaquin, the level 72 – 84 dungeon in the North. You collect some stuff for her at the Mohrgus, then head to Eusebio at Reboldoeux to polish them, bringing you to other level 7X places like El Canon de Diabolica. After that, you are required to head back to Prison de Joaquin, the Mohrgus again at D7. The secret portal is quite near the entrance, so run around there, from one side to the other if you want to. From here on, is where the fun begins.

You will be teleported to an instance to fight mobs of dead soldiers that someone summoned. Keep moving forward to the end of the map, killing the zombies as you go. You have to mark up 200 kills, so keep at it while moving. When you see the rotating blades, DO NOT attempt to cross it. For the first set of rotating blades that block your way, you have to kill about 100 dead soldiers first before moving quite close to the blades. Grace will then have some sort of message to you and the rotating blades will be removed. Then, finish up the final 100 and when you are near the final room of the instance, there’s another set of rotating blades waiting for you. Once you’ve gotten 200 zombies down, do the same thing as you did for the first set of blades and then…

a mysterious man

a mysterious man

Gasp! Is he who I think he is? Is he… is he… IS HE?!?!?!

*w* ITS GAVIN-SAMA!

*w* IT'S GAVIN-SAMA!

IT’S GAVIN JAMESON!!!!!! KYAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

*ahem* on with the quest… he gets quite angry, because he hates uninvited guests apparently. A confrontation between Grace and him follows, and then you have to fight him! NOOOOO~~~~

*whack whack whack* I didn’t take a shot of his stats, but I do remember that he’s of level 80, AR DR 42 and has 40 fire/ice/lightning/mind resistance.

HOMG!!!

after he 'died'

So you’ve killed the poor bishie and told to speak to him again, like the above screenshot. You’re moved out from the instance after some more conversation with him to the Mohrgus, at where you entered. From here, head off to find Grace.

She tells you to find more clues about this Mysterious Man, and instructs that you head to the cemetery of Thueringenwald. It’s not the place where you see loads of tomb stones, but this lonely tomb below the actual cemetery at G4/H4. You are then transported to a new instance.

Your location in the instance is at where the tomb is, so move up to the cemetery to meet Grace and Gavin again. From here, your job is to get rid of all the dead soldiers that Gavin summons with some unknown skill.

Gavin performing the necromancer skill

Gavin performing the necromancer skill

He’s muttering something while performing the skill by the way, making it even more worth it to see this skill in action. Plus the black glow on his hands as well… Following the killing of all of the summoned dead soldiers, you have to fight him AGAIN. *groans* Gahhh, the poor bishie…
*whack whack whack* same stats I presume, from the previous instance
The fight ends and there’s more talk between him and Grace and you. He gives you a key to a special room in Prison de Joaquin, the Mohrgus at G4. It’s a secret portal so run around that area, to and fro.
Once inside, this is what you see…
all red with lava beneath you...

Some monsters spawn here, and the failed subjects a.k.a. the larger monsters with holding FLAMING Muses Bahiaspadas (GIMMEH!) drop puzzle pieces, on a side note. You can kill the random zombies on the way to the end of the area, where you see Dr. Fran. Get close to him and you will initiate the conversation of Dr. Fran, Grace, Montoro, Gavin and you.

Blah blah blah… after talking Montoro disappears and you have to fight Dr. Fran. He has a very dangerous attack plus the wizard’s Apocalypse skill, so be careful around him. Another way is to just run away and leave him to Grace and Gavin to finish him off. After that, the 2 NPCs acknowledge each other as comrades of the Brestian Army.

A dangerous guy he is, both in looks and skills…
The talk ends between them both. You report back to Grace and wah lah! The quest is done!
On the other hand, updates on my main team! They’re finally level 84! Reached 85 just tonight, not quite long ago from this post. Now we’re at Ustiur, hitting lots of dinos and getting hit back.

Thanks for writing about this! I only wish I found your blog before completing the quest. ;_; Haha~ But it was informative nonetheless!

Linked you in a post about the same quest in my blog. You’re very patient in taking screenshots, unlike me, so… ;_; Hope this is ok!

Thank you for the comments ^^

Well, I partially took the screenshots to help viewers as the one I found was pretty vague and I wanted more information to be in my guide. The 2nd reason is cos 1)Gavin is there and 2)that team happened to have just changed to a better set of equipment xD
