The Final Post of 2008 – Reflections of the year
The final day of the year is now upon us, and for the first time ever since I started blogging on various platforms I’ll be attempting to record down the things that rocked my life in 2008, with a reflection of course.
- Getting into Class 3E3
Well it was quite surprising that I will be taking a triple science and double math course in Sec 3, with that woeful math results from Sec 2. Now that the year has ended, I have to say I regret little on my choice of course. Although the academic year didn’t close off on a good note for me with results just getting by and some very pretty failures, the class was a good one. We shared memories, good and bad of the year behind us (no, YOU did not make my days in Sec 3 a happy one, b***h). I hope to see everyone in Class 4E3 this Friday!
- The Secondary 3 Adventure Camp
My first chance to step onto foreign soil was a true eyeopener for me. It was my first time in Malaysia in my 15 years and… No, I didn’t experience any real contact with them… It’s still unforgettable, nevertheless, for its natural habitat, peaks, rivers, amazingly long and butt-numbing bus rides and houseflies. Hoo yeah, no one can forget THAT part of the 5D4N camp.
- The ups and downs of my social life
Well I didn’t fall out with anyone in this year (not that I mean I do that on a regular basis, I just don’t want any misunderstanding about the ‘down’ part) yet it was surprisingly a bumpy ride on the social roller coaster. I mean, they was some faulty communication between you and me (you know who you are so just keep mum) and on my part being quite immature at times just made me think this way. I can’t stop anything that life throws at us, all I can do is just try to cope with it. Well, I hope I did (which I highly doubt). Thanks for being there at my hardest times of the year and for the last time, I am NOT anyone’s girlfriend. I mean, GEEZ.
- My Gaming Life
Yeah that totally sucked. I made that little timetable to ensure that I can reach Veteran status before the end of the year. I did, but on the first half of this year it completely ruined my academic life, just… beautifully. So I resolved from gaming for about 3 months, returned into the New World and guess what? The faction I so wanted to be in just went dead. I leeched off the additional 3 family levels a level 52 faction gives to every member and got myself to a good level 9X before getting invited into a popular faction, by means of relations with another player. However there was the getting-to-know-the-newbie part, so it was only after a couple of weeks from the time I left my previous faction that I finally got admitted into the latest one. By the way, there’s a one-week rule for players who have either gotten kicked out of a faction or quit one before they can join a new faction. Now, I am really enjoying the life in this new faction… The leader lent me some equipments when I attained Veteran status last Sunday (I had been waiting for a week for the promotion scrolls) to join them in raiding the Secret Temple.
- My Cosplay Life
Pretty good, I can say, though I wasn’t very hyped over the characters I cosplayed this year. Yeah, they might be one of the smexy male animanga characters you see and worship over, but for me they just add some sort of unknown pressure on my shoulders. More plans for the coming years… more bishounens to cosplay as…
See you all next year! (In less than 30 mins)
