Prom Night 2009

April 19, 2009 vegahighwell 2 comments

Heck, I dunno why this is here in the first place.

Yes, Prom. That day of the year many look forward to after their O Levels… It’s down on me and the rest of the graduation cohort of 2009! Give you all a brief summary of it?

Details are already finalised by the Student Council’s Prom Night Comittee, so what I have up here is true, unless unfortunate circumstances call for adjustments in them.

Date: 16th November 2009 (Monday)
Time: 1830 – 2200
Venue: Rasa Sentosa Resort
Theme: Simply Elegant

I’ll have you all know that many chose ‘elegant’ as a theme. Personally, I called for ‘Victorian’ (like duh). The Comittee requested that the males are required to carry a single stalk of rose on that day, and they are to offer it to anyone they wish, be it a fellow classmate/schoolmate, a teacher, their lover or secret admirer. Likewise, the females are supposed to complement the gentlemen by having an indication of the flower on their attire or accessories. Therefore, look out for the abundance of this much-loved flower in my upcoming designs.

Yes, designs. I’m not buying a prom dress. And yes, you read ‘dress’. I am going to wear a dress for prom. And I’m going to have all my classmates swear that they will not leak out prom night photos.

Back to ‘designs’. Since I don’t want to spend godly amounts of money on a single dress in shops, hopefully by bringing them to a tailor I can cut the cost by a little. Plus, I can be as creative as I want, only limitation being whether or not my tailor can achieve in making it real. So… with some chiding here’s the first set of designs. I call them ‘prototypes’, dunno why.

Oh, they seem to all depict a lady in slightly long hair that reaches the shoulders. I think I’m going to leave my hair long too.

[digital/traditional art] tsukiumi

Because I just felt like doing this picture great honour ever since it was drawn on lined paper. I did colour this, but due to some complications with the burn tool, her face turned out ruined at the end. So, after I found out that I could get this effect by some tweaking, I hastily snapped a screenie and had it up in no time. So here she is, glorified as she should be.

And no, it was not posted cos someone used to like her so much, I dunno about now, but THAT is definitely not the reason. It was all just a whim and an excuse to spend more time with tabby.

Tsukiumi, once again.

Tsukiumi, once again.

[digital art] Granado Espada’s Male Musketeer

Haha, finally, after almost a month since I bought my tablet, I’ve finally comepleted this. Of course it didn;t take me nearly 3 weeks just to draw and colour this. It took me this long as I had to get used to the dodge/burn tool and learn how to make that watermark in the background. Thus.

Without any further ado, here’s the drawing!
