The ABJDs are gone! *Gasp!*
Take a look at my wishlist of material goods. You’ll spot a very distinctive reduction in numbers, reason being that the 5 or 6 dolls that took up a great portion of the list is gone! All because of some very thorough thinking and hard reasoning with a couple of my friends, together with my exposure with these beautiful creations I finally woke up from that far-fetched dream of owning my own dolls.
I have a friend who happily lets me see her dolls and take really amatuerish photographs of them whenever a Canon EOS 450D is around. Everytime she says something about the expressions and feelings of the dolls, I just nod along and attempt to discern them from the otherwise lifeless pieces of sculpted resin. In my exposure to such dolls, there has only been one time which I really got to know what doll owners meant by their dolls having a spirit within them, thanks to Lyrios and my talk of yaoi… Other than that, the dolls just don’t seem much different most of the time.
Will you be able to see them once you’ve gotten yourself spiritually attached to it? Another friend of mine has such an attachment to his lady guitar, and with no hands-on experience in what they describe, I cannot put down their claims to be false. I can only keep mum, and I’m not saying I don’t believe it at all either. I just feel, perhaps my time has yet to come…
So gone are the dolls, totalling up to a few nice grands (in euros). Oh, what I can do with all that money… *fantasizes* Hence, the number of expensive hobbies I have has dropped to 3, although I’m still considering the feasibility of one of them…
